One of the things I miss the most about college is being in such close proximity with all of your best friends. I really enjoyed living in the dorms because we hosted dinners at each other’s apartments, got together for a movie night while we painted our nails and invaded our tiny bathrooms to get ready for a girls’ night out; it was like living with sisters I’ve never had.
Although we are easily caught up in our lives away from each other for work or school, I always appreciate a good conversation over some delicious comfort food. On this Saturday, Mikha, Mariciel and I gathered at Ana‘s new pad in Oakland for tacos and ceviches from Taqueria Sinaloa. Even without the bacon and bottomless mimosas, this unconventional brunch was just what I needed to catch up with my girl friends.
I was super excited to finally meet Nugget, Ana’s new bunny! It seems like she’s really into kale, as you can see, and we can both agree on one thing: cilantro is gross. It was also my first time visiting her apartment, the way she decorated the one-bedroom space has her name all over it.
